Ubiquitination and degradation of homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 2 by WSB1 has been reported , initiated by the interaction of the two components . WSB1 is also a part of an E3 ubiquitin ligase for the thyroid-hormone-activating type 2 iodothyronine deiodinase (D2) .
