Description: Polyclonal anti-GST reacts with glutathione-S transferase (GST), a common expression tag used in molecular biology. This conjugate is prepared by labeling polyclonal goat anti-GST IgG (H+L) with CF™640R dye. CF™640R (Ex/Em 642/662 nm) is a novel far-red rhodamine-based dye spectrally similar to Cy®5 and Alexa Fluor® 647. CF™640R is much brighter than Cy®5 and at least as bright as Alexa Fluor® 647 when excited at 633 or 635 nm. However, the most important advantage of CF™640R is its exceptional photostability.

Alexa Fluor® is a registered trademark of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Cy®5 is a registered trademark of GE Healthcare.

Supplier: Bachem Americas
Description: c(RGDfC), a RGD tumor-targeting peptide, which binds to αvβ3 receptors. c(RGDfC) can be easily conjugated to drugs as combretastatin or surfaces. For the control peptide c(RADfC) see H-7232

Description: Goat anti-human IgG, Fc gamma specific antibody reacts specifically with the human IgG heavy (γ) chains and not with light chains and F(ab’)2 fragment on all human immunoglobulins. To minimize cross-reactivity, it has been adsorbed against bovine, horse, mouse and rabbit serum proteins prior to conjugation. Supplier: Genetex
Description: Thioredoxin was found in yeast, plants, mammals and bacteria. It is a protein with two redox-active half-cystine residues in exposed active center, having the following amino acid sequence: -Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys. The protein exists in reduced form (Trx-(SH)2) with a dithiol, or in an oxidized form (Trx-S2). The ThioFusion Expression System allows expression and purification of large amounts of heterologous protein from E. coli.

Description: Llama anti-mouse CF™ dye conjugates are prepared by labeling affinity purified llama anti-mouse IgG (H+L) with a selection of CF™ dyes. CF™ dyes offer combined advantages in brightness, photostability, and specificity compared other fluorescent dyes. Far-red fluorescent CF™647 (Ex/Em 650/665 nm) is brighter than Cy®5 and an excellent alternative to Alexa Fluor® 647 for antibody conjugates.

Description: Peroxiredoxin (Prx) is an antioxidant enzyme detoxifying reactive oxygen species and has a cysteine at the active site. Prx enzymes modulate various receptor signaling pathways and protect cells from oxidatively induced death. Peroxiredoxin 1 to 4 have two conserved Cys residues corresponding to Cys51 and Cys172 of mammalian Peroxiredoxin 1. The active site cysteine(Cys51) is oxidized to cysteine sulfenic acid(Cys51-SOH) when a peroxide is reduced. Because Cys51-SOH is unstable, it forms a disulfide with Cys172-SH which comes from the other subunit of the homodimer. The disulfide is then reduced back to the Prx active thiol form by the thioredoxin-thioredoxin reductase system. However, the formation of the disulfide is a slow process. Thus under oxidative stress conditions, the sulfenic intermediate(Cys51-SOH) can be easily over oxidized to cysteine sulfinic acid(Cys-SO2H) or cysteine sulfonic acid(Cys-SO3H) before it is able to form a disulfide. Recent studies suggest that over oxidized Prx can be reduced back to the active form during recovery after oxidative stress.
