Catalog Number: (10018-198)
Supplier: Biotium
Description: Fluorescein-12-dUTP can be used to synthesize fluorecently labeled DNA probes for in-situ hybridization, microarray or blotting techniques.

Catalog Number: (89165-842)
Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Green 496 [5-Fluorescein] dUTP can replace TTP in reactions in which it serves as a substrate for E. coli DNA polymerase (holoenzyme and Klenow fragment), T4 and Taq DNA polymerases, reverse transcriptase (from AMV and M-MuLV) and terminal transferase.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: CF® dye-dUTP can be used for TUNEL assay, microarray, or to synthesize labeled DNA probes for in situ hybridization and nucleic acid blotting applications.

Catalog Number: (89155-906)
Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Kit for measuring apoptosis with high sensitivity by Dual Color Flow Cytometry in mammalian cells. Br-dUTP is more readily incorporated into the genome of apoptotic cells than are larger ligands like fluorescein, biotin, etc. This greater incorporation coupled with the use of a fluorescein labelled anti-BrdU monoclonal antibody (Prod. No. ALX-804-197L) gives rise to a stronger signal in flow cytometry.

Catalog Number: (10820-968)
Supplier: Tonbo Biosciences
Description: The APO-DIRECT™ reagent kit provides a two color TUNEL (Terminal deoxynucleotide transferase dUTP Nick End Labeling) assay for labeling DNA breaks and total cellular DNA to detect apoptotic cells by flow cytometry. The kit contains the instructions and reagents required for measuring apoptosis in cells including: positive and negative control cells for assessing reagent performance; washing, reaction and rinsing buffers for processing individual steps in the assay; terminal deoxynucleotidyl tranferase enzyme (TdT), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) deoxyuridine triphosphate (FITC-dUTP) for labeling DNA breaks and PI/RNase A solution for counter staining the total DNA.

Catalog Number: (10450-100)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: This enzyme is involved in nucleotide metabolism: it produces dUMP, the immediate precursor of thymidine nucleotides and it decreases the intracellular concentration of dUTP so that uracil cannot be incorporated into DNA.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: These kits use enzymatic labeling of DNA double-strand breaks for fluorescence staining of apoptotic cells in fixed samples or tissue sections by TUNEL.

Catalog Number: (89139-668)
Supplier: Biotium
Description: Biotinylation reagents with a variety of reactive functional groups.

Catalog Number: (10820-970)
Supplier: Tonbo Biosciences
Description: The fragmentation of genomic DNA by cellular nucleases during the later stages of apoptosis is also one of the most easily measured features of apoptotic cells. Nuclease activity generates DNA fragments ranging from ~300 bp to 50 bp in length, resulting in a typical DNA ‘laddering’ appearance when analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis. These fragments have exposed 3’-hydroxyl (OH) ends which can be labeled with bromolated deoxyuridine triphosphates (Br-dUTP). An enzyme, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT), is used to catalyze the template-independent addition of Br-dUTP to the 3’-OH ends of double or single stranded DNA. This method is often called TUNEL (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling) or end labeling. Sites where the Br-dUTP is incorporated can then be detected with an antibody specific to BrdU. With the APO-BrdUTM Kit cells are first labeled with Br-dUTP, and then sites of incorporation are detected through staining with a FITC anti-BrdU antibody. Samples can then be analyzed via flow cytometry. Samples that are apoptotic will stain brightly with the anti-BrdU antibody due to the substantial number of exposed 3’-OH sites, while cells that are non-apoptotic will not have incorporated significant amounts of Br-dUTP and will stain dimly. The APO-BrdU Kit is shipped in one container and consists of two packages. Upon arrival one should be stored at 2-8°C and the other at -20°C.
