Catalog Number: (10662-504)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: D-Aspartic acid is the D-isomer of aspartic acid also known as aspartate which is one of the 20 natural proteinogenic amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. As its name indicates, aspartic acid is the carboxylic acid analog of asparagine. It is non-essential in mammals, and might serve as an excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain. It is also a metabolite in the urea cycle, and participates in gluconeogenesis.

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: EDAR, also named as DL, is a receptor for EDA isoform A1, but not for EDA isoform A2. It mediates the activation of NF-kappa-B and JNK. EDAR may promote caspase-independent cell death. It is expressed in adjacent or partially overlapping layers in the developing human skin with MW 48 kDa.

Catalog Number: (77438-202)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has two RRM domains that bind to RNAs. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene. One of the variants is probably not translated because the transcript is a candidate for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. The protein isoforms encoded by this gene are similar to its family member HNRPD. (provided by RefSeq, May 2011).

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Albumin may be used to eliminate background interference in ELISA's or other enzyme assay systems. It is also used in absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) pharmacological research; cell culture; drug delivery research; and cryopreservation of cells. Human and bovine albumins contain 16% nitrogen and are often used as standards in protein calibration studies. Due to their free hydrophobic region fatty acid free albumins are used to solubilize lipids in tissue culture, and are also used as blocking agents in Western blots or ELISA applications. Globulin free albumins are suitable for use in applications where no other proteins should be present (e.g., electrophoresis).
