Catalog Number: (CAPIPA5-18463)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat based on sequence homology. This gene encodes a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. The encoded protein is a cyclosporin binding-protein and may play a role in cyclosporin A-mediated immunosuppression. The protein can also interact with several HIV proteins, including p55 gag, Vpr, and capsid protein, and has been shown to be necessary for the formation of infectious HIV virions. Multiple pseudogenes that map to different chromosomes have been reported.

Description: Cyclophilin A, also named as PPIA and Rotamase A, belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family and PPIase A subfamily. PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. PPIA forms a trimolecular complex with cyclophilin and calcineurins to inhibit calcineurin phosphatase activity. PPIA is incorporated into the virion of the type 1 human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) via a direct interaction with the capsid domain of the viral Gag polyprotein and is crucial for efficient viral replication.

Supplier: Prosci
Description: Essential PPIase that regulates mitosis presumably by interacting with NIMA and attenuating its mitosis-promoting activity. Displays a preference for an acidic residue N-terminal to the isomerized proline bond. Catalyzes pSer/Thr-Pro cis/trans isomerizations. Down-regulates kinase activity of BTK. Can transactivate multiple oncogenes and induce centrosome amplification, chromosome instability and cell transformation. Required for the efficient dephosphorylation and recycling of RAF1 after mitogen activation. Binds and targets PML and BCL6 for degradation in a phosphorylation-dependent manner.

Description: PPIF, also named as CYP3, PPIase F and Rotamase F, belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family. PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. PPIF is a mitochondrial matrix protein involved in the induction of necrotic and apoptotic cell death through the activation of the mitochondrial permeability transition (mPT) pore. This antibody is immunized with full length gene PPIF and absorbed by PPIA. So this antibody is special to PPIF

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: FKBP2 is also named as FKBP13 and belongs to the FKBP-type PPIase family. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. FKBP2 has a 21-amino acid signal peptide and appears to be membrane-associated. It is localized to the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). FKBP12 and FKBP13 are highly similar proteins, of molecular masses 12 kDa and 13 kDa respectively, with approx.43 % amino acid identity. The strong homology between FKBP12 and FKBP13 suggests that they may share similar biological functions, although, apart from rotamase activity, details relating to the function of either protein are scant.

Description: Immunophilins are a family of soluble cytosolic receptors capable of binding to one of two major immunosuppressant agents - cyclosporin A (CsA) or FK506. Proteins that bind FK506 are termed FK506 Binding Proteins (FKBPs) and those that bind cyclosporin A are called cyclophilins (CyP).
Both CyP:CsA and FKBP:FK506 complexes have been shown to inhibit calcineurin, a calcium and calmodulin dependent protein phosphatase which has been implicated as an important signalling enzyme in T-cell activation, providing a possible mechanism of immunosuppression by CsA and FK506. Immunophilins function as peptidyl prolyl cis-trans-isomerases (PPIase) whose activity is inhibited by their respective immunosuppressant compounds. As PPIase's, immunophilins accelerate folding of some proteins both in vivo and in vitro by catalyzing slow steps in the initial folding and rearrangement of proline containing proteins.
Within the cyclophilin family, there are several different proteins which show a high degree of homology including CyPA, CyPB and CyPC. CyPA, also termed CyP-18, is the most abundant and ubiquitous cyclophilin found in all vertebrate tissues and is present in T-cells.
