Description: MUC1 is a large cell surface mucin glycoprotein expressed by most glandular and ductal epithelial cells and some hematopoietic cell lineages. It is expressed on most secretory epithelium, including mammary gland and some hematopoietic cells. It is expressed abundantly in lactating mammary glands and overexpressed abundantly in >90% breast carcinomas and metastases. Transgenic MUC1 has been shown to associate with all four cebB receptors and localize with erbB1 (EGFR) in lactating glands. The MUC1 gene contains seven exons and produces several different alternatively spliced variants. The major expressed form of MUC1 uses all seven exons and is a type 1 transmembrane protein with a large extracellular tandem repeat domain. The tandem repeat domain is highly O glycosylated and alterations in glycosylation have been shown in epithelial cancer cells.

Description: Plays a role in the regulation of lipogenesis, especially in lactating mammary gland. Important for the biosynthesis of triglycerides with medium-length fatty acid chains. May modulate lipogenesis by interacting with MID1IP1 and preventing its interaction with ACACA (By similarity). May function as transcriptional coactivator. May modulate the transcription factor activity of THRB.Mainly expressed in tissues that synthesize triglycerides.

Description: The 2'- 5'- oligoadenylate synthetase (OAS) family is comprised of four members: OAS1, OAS2, OAS3 and OASL. These proteins are induced by interferons and function to convert ATP into 2'- 5'- linked oligomers of adenosine in the presence of double-stranded RNA and magnesium ions. Copper, iron and zinc ions strongly inhibit the OAS enzymatic activity, while manganese ions can replace magnesium ions as an activator. The OAS family plays a significant role in the inhibition of cellular protein synthesis, apoptosis and growth, and its members are important factors in viral infection resistance. OAS3, also referred to as p100, contains three adjacent OAS1-like domains and maps to the human chromosome 12q24.2

Description: ATP2B2, also named as PMCA2, belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) family and type IIB subfamily. This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium out of the cell. ATG2B2 catalyze the reaction:ATP + H2O + Ca2+(Cis) = ADP + phosphate + Ca2+(Trans).

Description: Prolactin is a neuroendocrine hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. Its primary function is to promote and maintain lactation during pregnancy and suckling. In addition, prolactin plays an immunoegulatory role by stimulating the activities of ornithine decarboxylase and protein kinase C, which are important for the proliferation, differentiation, and function of lymphocytes. Recombinant Rat Prolactin is a 22.6 kDa globular protein containing 198 amino acid residues

Description: Oxytocin (OXT) is a neurohypophysial hormone that plays a role in lactation and parturition and in the central nervous system as a neurotransmitter involved in sex and maternal behavior . Oxytocin acts through its receptor, OXTR, which belongs to the G protein-coupled 7-transmembrane receptor family. OXTR is expressed in endometrium, myometrium, mammary gland . This antibody is raised against the C-terminal region of human OXTR.
