Catalog Number: (10342-266)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. At the onset of apoptosis it proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) at a '216-Asp-|-Gly-217' bond. Cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) between the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain and the membrane attachment domain. Cleaves and activates caspase-6, -7 and -9. Triggers cell adhesion in sympathetic neurons through RET cleavage (By similarity).

Description: PSG2 is a secreted protein that in humans is encoded by the PSG2 gene. It is a member of the human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins (PSGs) family. These proteins are synthesized in large amounts by placental trophoblasts and released into the maternal circulation during pregnancy. PSG2 consist of a single N domain, with structural similarity to the immunoglobulin variable domains, followed by a variable number of immunoglobulin constant-like A and/or B domains. It has an arg-gly-asp (RGD) motif, which has been shown to function as an adhesion recognition signal for several integrins, in the N-terminal domain.

Description: Also known as dioxopiperazines, piperazine-2,5-diones or DKPs. Diketopiperazines may occur as by-products during peptide synthesis or during the degradation of peptides. These cyclic dipeptides have been detected as taste-modulating compounds in food, they often show biological activity. DKPs are valuable chiral synthons, employed e.g. in Schöllkopf's versatile bislactim ether approach. They also have found use as catalysts for enantioselective synthesis, e.g. in the asymmetric Strecker reaction. See also the TRH metabolite cyclo(-His-Pro), G-1745, and cyclo(-Asp-Phe), G-1695, the major degradation product of aspartame.

Description: IFT122 is a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This cytoplasmic protein contains seven WD repeats and an AF-2 domain which function by recruiting coregulatory molecules and in transcriptional activation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

Supplier: Bachem Americas
Description: This small molecule RGD peptidomimetic αvβ3 integrin antagonist contains both anionic and cationic binding sites that straddle the RGD binding domain of the αvβ3 integrin. The IC₅₀ for XJ 735 αvβ3-mediated inhibition of human and porcine cell adhesion, and vascular smooth muscle cell migration, ranged from 0.6 to 4.4 µM. In contrast, IC₅₀ for porcine or human αIIb/β3, α4β1, αvβ5, and α5β1 inhibition exceeded 100 µM.

Description: This gene is a member of the DEAH-box family of RNA-dependent NTPases which are named after the conserved amino acid sequence Asp-Glu-Ala-His in motif II. The protein encoded by this gene has been shown to enhance the deadenylation and decay of mRNAs with 3'-UTR AU-rich elements (ARE-mRNA). The protein has also been shown to resolve into single strands the highly stable tetramolecular DNA configuration (G4) that can form spontaneously in guanine-rich regions of DNA. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).

Description: PG 99-465 is a high affinity, selective VPAC2 receptor antagonist. It exhibited a 100-fold preference for the VPAC2 over the VPAC1 receptor. The compound showed partial agonistic activity on the VPAC1 receptor and was inactive on the VPAC2 receptor transfected in CHO cells, as well as on naturally expressed human VPAC2 receptors in the SUP T1 cell line. Dickson et al. observed an agonistic effect of PG99-465 on the human VPAC1 and PAC1 receptors. When applied singly, PG99-465 increased [cAMP](i) at all three hVPAC/PAC receptor subtypes.
