Description: DHRS1 (dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR family) member 1), also known as SDR19C1, is a 313 amino acid protein that belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family and likely functions as an oxidoreductase. Abundantly expressed in heart and liver, DHRS1 contains an SDR motif and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 14q12. Human chromosome 14 houses over 700 genes and comprises nearly 3.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 14 encodes the presinilin 1 (PSEN1) gene, which is one of the three key genes associated with the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The SERPINA1 gene is also located on chromosome 14 and, when defective, leads to the genetic disorder ?-antitrypsin deficiency, which is characterized by severe lung complications and liver dysfunction.

Description: ANGEL1, also known as KIAA0759, is a 670 amino acid protein belonging to the CKR-4 protein family. ANGEL1 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 14, which contains about 700 genes and 106 million base pairs, making up about 3.5% of human cellular DNA. Chromosome 14 encodes the presinilin 1 (PSEN1) gene, which is one of three key genes associated with the development of Alzheimer's disease. The SERPINA1 gene is located on chromosome 14 and, when defective, leads to the genetic disorder ?-antitrypsin deficiency. This disorder is characterized by severe lung complications and liver dysfunction. Notably, the immunoglobulin heavy chain locus on chromosome 14 and its fusion via translocation with the chromosome 19 encoded protein BCL3 may be related to B-cell malignancies.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This antibody recognizes a protein of 18-35 kDa, identified as CD90 (also known as Thy1). CD90 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It may contribute to inhibition of proliferation/differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells and neuron memory formation in the CNS. It consists of a single Ig domain (112 amino acids; 25-35 kDa) inserted into the cell membrane via a GPI anchor. Expressed by hematopoietic stem cells and neurons in all species studied. Its highly expressed in connective tissue and various fibroblast and stromal cell lines, expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T cells in mice, but in humans expressed only on small % fetal thymocytes, 10-40% of CD34 cells in bone marrow, and <1% of CD3 CD4 lymphocytes in peripheral circulation. It is also expressed by human lymph node HEV endothelium but not other endothelia. Lastly, it is expressed by a limited number of lymphoblastoid and leukemic cell lines.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®405M is a blue fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 408/452 nm) with superior brightness and photostability compared to other blue dyes; it is also compatible with super-resolution imaging by SIM. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
