Introduction to the EU Biocidal Products Regulation
In the EU, products such as bleach, disinfectants, preservatives and pest control aids are regulated by the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The BPR has been in force since September 2013 and places obligations on manufacturers, formulators, suppliers and importers of biocidal products and articles treated with biocidal products.
The requirements for compliance with the BPR are complex and the timeframes involved can be complicated. This webinar will introduce you to the core principles of the BPR and give you the background needed to understand customer requests and competitor information.
The content will cover the main terminology, the key processes for marketing under the BPR and points to consider when selling biocides in the EU. A summary of the status of Contec's biocidal products in the EU will also be provided. The webinar will finish with a short Q&A session, with the opportunity for follow-up discussions.
