Description: ERO1LB is an essential oxidoreductase that oxidizes proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum to produce disulfide bonds. It acts by oxidizing directly P4HB/PDI isomerase through a direct disulfide exchange. It does not act as a direct oxidant of folding substrate, but relies on P4HB/PDI to transfer oxidizing equivalent. Associates with ERP44 but not with GRP54, demonstrating that it does not oxidize all PDI related proteins and can discriminate between PDI and related proteins. Its reoxidation probably involves electron transfer to molecular oxygen via FAD. Glutathione may be required to regulate its activity in the endoplasmic reticulum. It may be responsible for a significant proportion of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the being a source of oxidative stress. It is required for the folding of cell, thereby being a source of oxidative stress. This antibody has no cross reaction to ERO1L.

Description: AIF1, also named as G1, IBA1 or daintain/AIF-1, is a 143 amino acid cytoplasmic, inflammation response scaffold protein. It is constitutively expressed in monocytes and macrophages and is known to be involved in macrophage activation. It is a marker of activated macrophage. Despite a lack of detailed knowledge on the in vivo physiological functions of AIF-1, there is growing evidence that shows its aberrant expression contributes to the pathogenesis of many autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis. (20944424). AIF1 is an actin-binding protein that enhances membrane ruffling and RAC activation. It enhances lymphocyte migration and the actin-bundling activity of LCP1. AIF1 plays a role in RAC signaling and in phagocytosis and a role in vascular inflammation. AIF1 promotes the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and of T-lymphocytes. It is also as a microglial cell marker.

Description: NUAK1 is a member of the human adenosine monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase family that has been identified as a key tumor cell survival factor. It is also named as ARK5, KIAA0537, OMPHK1 and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. The physiological role of NUAK1 is potentially to suppress glucose uptake through negative regulation of insulin signaling in oxidative muscle. This protein has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Description: Arp5 is a member of nuclear actin-related proteins (ARPs) that function as components of the chromatin- remodeling complex. Recently study reported that Arp5 regulates smooth muscle cell differentiation through interaction with myocardin (Myocd). Arp5 has been identified as negative regulator of Myocd, suppressing Myocd activity in the nucleus through tightly binding with Myocd RPEL motifs. Alternative splicing results in two variants of Arp5: a broadly expressed arp5-common, and a smooth muscle restricted arp5-sm. Expression of Arp5-sm protein is strongly suppressed in well-differentiated smooth muscle cells by partial messenger RNA decay and translational suppression. (24567363)
