Description: GATA4 is a transcriptional activator. GATA4 binds to the consensus sequence 5'-AGATAG-3'. GATA4 acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF in cooperation with NKX2-5. Mutation of GATA4 will cause the atrial septal defect type 2 (ASD2). The antibody is specific to GATA4.

Description: GATA1 is first identified as a member of the GATA transcription factor family, whose members bind the consensus (WGATAR) binding motif . GATA1, a zinc finger DNA-binding transcription factor, plays a critical role in the normal development of hematopoietic cell lineages. The protein contains an N-terminal region that confers transcriptional activity and a C-terminal domain that mediates binding to DNA and other factors . GATA-1 is also implicated in regulating the expression of the erythroid and megakaryocytic-specific genes .

Description: The neuronal growth-associated protein GAP43 is also known as neuromodulin, B-50, P-57, F1 and pp46. Deficiency of GAP43 in mice results in death early in the postnatal period. GAP43 is one of the main substrates for protein kinase C in the brain. GAP43 is an intracellular growth-associated protein that appears to assist neuronal pathfinding and branching during development and regeneration, and may contribute to presynaptic membrane changes in the adult, leading to the neurotransmitter release, endocytosis and synaptic vesicle recycling, long-term potentiation, spatial memory formation, and learning. The predicated molecular weight of about 25 kDa is much lower than the apparent observed molecular weight of 43 kDa on SDS-PAGE gels, and this occurs because the highly charged nature of GAP43 causes it to bind less than the average amount of SDS per amino acid, and because the protein has an elongated structure.

Description: CXCL1, also named as FSP, GRO1, GROa, MGSA, MGSA-a, NAP-3 and SCYB1, is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that was previously called GRO1 oncogene. It has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. CXCL1 may play a role in inflammation and exerts its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed forms GRO-alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity. CXCL1 is secreted by human melanoma cells, has mitogenic properties and is implicated in melanoma pathogenesis. CXCL1 is expressed by macrophages, neutrophils and epithelial cells. CXCL1 plays a role in spinal cord development by inhibiting the migration of oligodendrocyte precursors and is involved in the processes of angiogenesis, inflammation, wound healing, and tumorigenesis. This chemokine elicits its effects by signaling through the chemokine receptor CXCR2. The gene for CXCL1 is located on human chromosome 4 amongst genes for other CXC chemokines. An initial study in mice showed evidence that CXCL1 decreased the severity of multiple sclerosis and may offer a neuro-protective function.

Description: CXCR1, also named as CMKAR1, IL8RA and CD181, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. It is a receptor to interleukin-8, which is a powerful neutrophils chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. CXCR1binds to IL-8 with a high affinity and to MGSA (GRO) with a low affinity. This antibody is specific to CXCR1.
