Catalog Number: (CAPIMA1014HRP)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: For Western Blot, this antibody has non-specific bands at 47 kDa and 75 kDa. This antibody is predicted to react with rat and chicken based on sequence homology. Core binding factor is a heterodimeric transcription factor that binds to the core element of many enhancers and promoters. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit of CBF and is thought to be involved in the development of normal hematopoiesis. Chromosomal translocations involving this gene are well-documented and have been associated with several types of leukemia. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Description: For Western Blot, this antibody has non-specific bands at 65 kDa. The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING finger, a motif known to be involved in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. This protein was reported to interact with the tumor suppressor protein RB1. Studies of the rat counterpart suggested that this protein may function as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, and facilitate the ubiquitination and degradation of syntaxin 1, which is an essential component of the neurotransmitter release machinery.

Description: It has been successfully used in ICC/IF and flow cytometry applications on human samples. TRA-1-60 is a cell surface antigen, expressed along with SSEA-3, SSEA-4 and TRA-1-81 in human embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS). These surface markers are lost during the differentiation process. In contrast, SSEA-1 is absent in undifferentiated human stem cells but is present on the cell surface after retinoic acid mediated differentiation.

SSEA-1 (stage-specific embryonic antigen-1) is a cell surface antigen, expressed in murine embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells, and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS). SSEA-1 is absent in undifferentiated human stem cells but is present on the cell surface after retinoic acid mediated differentiation.

Description: It has been successfully used in ICC/IF and flow cytometry applications on human samples. Stage-specific embryonic antigen 4 (SSEA-4) is a cell surface antigen, expressed along with SSEA-3, TRA-1-60 and TRA-1-81 in embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS). In human cells, these surface markers are down-regulated during the differentiation process, while SSEA-1 is absent in undifferentiated human stem cells and upregulated on the cell surface after retinoic acid mediated differentiation. Conversely, in mouse stem cells, SSEA-1 expression decreases with differentiation while SSEA-3 and SSEA-4 expression increase.

Description: This Antibody detects c-myc protein and c-myc tagged proteins. It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The Immunogen corresponds to the synthetic peptide A(408) E E Q K L I S E E D L L R K R R E Q L K H K L E Q L R N S C A(438) of human c-Myc. The c-myc oncogene (p62 c-myc) is involved in the control of normal cellular proliferation and differentiation. In addition, deregulated expression of c-Myc induces apoptosis in different cell types, with c-myc requiring p53 for apoptosis in many cell types. This fact indicates heterogeneous mechanisms for c-myc-induced apoptosis.

Description: MA1-4997 detects Fc epsilonR1 alpha from human samples. The CRA1 (AER37) monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilonR1 alpha subunit on a region that does not overlap the region of the IgE binding site, thus it does not compete with IgE for the receptor bindings. MA1-4997 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry (paraffin, frozen) applications. The MA1-4997 immunogen is region of Fc epsilonR1 alpha which does not overlap with the IgE binding site. Fc epsilonR1 alpha is subunit of the high affinity receptor of IgE to which it directly binds. Fc epsilonR1 is a tetrameric complex consisting of one alpha, one ß, and two additional subunits. The latter two are required for signal transduction activity. The Fc epsilonR1 complex plays an important role in triggering allergic responses.

Description: This antibody is specific for the ~88 kDa DAT protein in Western blots of SDS solubilized human and mouse striatal samples and in IHC applications with formaldehyde-fixed human and monkey (Macaque) brain sections. The Dopamine Transporter (DAT) is responsible for the reaccumulation of dopamine after it has been released. DAT antibodies and antibodies for other markers of catecholamine biosynthesis are widely used as markers for dopaminergic and noradrenergic neurons in a variety of applications including depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson€™s disease and drug abuse (Kish et al. , 2001; Zhu et al. , 2000; Zhu et al. , 1999). Levels of DAT protein expression are altered by chronic drug administration (Wilson et al. , 1996).

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat based on sequence homology. MAD2L1 is a component of the mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint that prevents the onset of anaphase until all chromosomes are properly aligned at the metaphase plate. MAD2L1 is related to the MAD2L2 gene located on chromosome 1. A MAD2 pseudogene has been mapped to chromosome 14.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine and porcine based on sequence homology. Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein that belongs to the L3P ribosomal protein family. A pseudogene corresponding to this gene is found on chromosome 13q.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine based on sequence homology. This gene encodes a protein with similarity to follistatin, an activin-binding protein. It contains an FS module, a follistatin-like sequence containing 10 conserved cysteine residues. This gene product is thought to be an autoantigen associated with rheumatoid arthritis.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with mouse and rat based on sequence homology. Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S27E family of ribosomal proteins. It contains a C4-type zinc finger domain that can bind to zinc. The encoded protein has been shown to be able to bind to nucleic acid. It is located in the cytoplasm as a ribosomal component, but it has also been detected in the nucleus. Studies in rat indicate that ribosomal protein S27 is located near ribosomal protein S18 in the 40S subunit and is covalently linked to translation initiation factor eIF3. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.
