The TB Kinyoun (K) stain kit contains one 250mL bottle each of TB Carbolfuchsin KF, TB Decolorizer solution, and TB Brilliant Green K

TB Fluorescent Stain Kits enable the observation of smears at a lower magnification, increasing the field of view and decreasing the time required to examine a slide. Smears may be restained with one of the AFB Stain Kits to confirm the acid-fastness of fluorescing organisms without the need to make fresh smears. TB Fluorescent stain kit M contains one 250mL bottle each of TB Auramine M solution, TB Decolorizer TM solution, and TB Potassium Permanganate solution. TB Fluorescent stain kit T contains one 250mL bottle each of TB Auramine-Rhodamine T solution, TB Decolorizer TM solution, and TB Potassium Permanganate solution. Rhodamine offers the benefit of reducing non-specific background fluorescence that may be present in either culture or clinical specimens.

The TB Quick Stain Kit is a rapid two-step modification of the Ziehl-Neelsen and Kinyoun techniques. No heating, no separate decolorization steps, and no filtering is required. The kit contains one 250mL bottle each of TB Quick Stain Carbolfuchsin and TB Quick Stain Methylene Blue.

Acridine Orange Stain is used for detecting microorganisms in direct smears by fluorescence and is especially beneficial in screening normally sterile specimens where few organisms may be present. Bacteria stain bright orange; human cells, tissue debris, and proteinaceous material stain pale green to yellow.

AFB QC slides are conventional 25x75mm (1x3") microscope slides imprinted with two circles. The first circle is an acid-fast positive control with Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis plus inactivated Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra. The second circle is a negative control with an unstained mixture of non-acid-fast cocci (Staphylococcus aureus) and bacilli (Bacillus subtilis).

The Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) stain kit contains one 250mL bottle each of TB Carbolfuchsin ZN, TB Decolorizer solution, and TB Methylene Blue.

Ordering information: All bottles feature a hinged spout that allows for regulated flow, preventing spots and spills and minimizing evaporation.
