Description: MCL-1 is an anti-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family originally isolated from the ML-1 human myeloid leukemia cell line. Similar to BCL2 and BCL2L1, MCL1 can interact with BAX and/or BAK1 to inhibit mitochondria-mediated apoptosis. Mcl-1 is critical for the proliferation and survival of myeloma cells in vitro, and overexpression of Mcl-1 protein in myeloma cells is associated with relapse and short event-free survival in multiple myeloma patients. Recent studies show that MCL-1 is upregulated in numerous haematological and solid tumour malignancies. Therefore, MCL-1 has been suggested as a potential new therapeutic target. This antibody is specific to MCL1L isoform.

Description: MAPKAPK2(mitogen-activated protein kinase-activated protein kinase 2) is also named as MK2, MAPKAP-K2, MK-2 and belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. MAPKAPK2, one of several kinases directly phosphorylated and activated by p38 MAPK, plays a central role in the inflammatory response and is in the nucleus of unstimulated cells and moves rapidly to the cytoplasm after stimulation. It is also involved in many other cellular processes including stress responses, nuclear export, gene expression regulation and cell proliferation. Multiple residues of MAPKAPK2 are generally phosphorylated in vivo in response to stress, but only 4 residues(Thr25, Thr222, Ser272, and Thr334) are phosphorylated by p38 MAPK in vitro. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing and the range of the molecular weight is 42-60 kDa according to the references.

Description: MARK2 is also named as EMK1(ELKL motif kinase 1), Par1b and belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. Par1b/MARK2 plays a critical role in neuronal polarity in the process of axon specification from multiple candidate neurites using primary cultures of mammalian hippocampal neurons. It has 16 isoforms produced by alternative promoter usage and alternative splicing and can exsit as a dimer.

Description: DAPK2, also named as DRP-1, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family and DAP kinase subfamily. DAPK2 is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine/threonine kinase which acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis. DAPK2 catalyzes the reaction: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein. The antibody is specific to DAPK2.

Description: Keratins are a large family of proteins that form the intermediate filament cytoskeleton of epithelial cells, which are classified into two major sequence types. Type I keratins are a group of acidic intermediate filament proteins, including K9–K23, and the hair keratins Ha1–Ha8. Type II keratins are the basic or neutral courterparts to the acidic type I keratins, including K1–K8, and the hair keratins, Hb1–Hb6. KRT8 is often paired with keratin 18 in vivo. This antibody is specifically against KRT8.

Description: DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. DEAD box polypeptide 50 (DDX50, synonyms: GU2, GUB, MGC3199, RH-II/GuB) enzyme may be involved in ribosomal RNA synthesis or processing.

KRT18, also named as CYK18, PIG46 and K18, is the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. KRT18 is a type I keratin which is found primarily in non squamous epithelia and is present in a majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas but not in squamous cell carcinomas. This antibody is specifically agianst KRT18.
