Description: KHDRBS1, also named as SAM68, p62and p68, belongs to the KHDRBS family. It is recruited and tyrosine phosphorylated by several receptor systems, for example the T-cell, leptin and insulin receptors. Once phosphorylated, KHDRBS1 functions as an adapter protein in signal transduction cascades by binding to SH2 and SH3 domain-containing proteins. It represses CBP-dependent transcriptional activation apparently by competing with other nuclear factors for binding to CBP. KHDRBS1 also acts as a putative regulator of mRNA stability and/or translation rates and mediates mRNA nuclear export. KHDRBS1 has three isoforms with calculated MW of 44-48kd. For isoform with a calculated MW of 48.2 kD, it migrated as a 68kD protein on SDS-PAGE gels. This ia a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against residues near the N terminus of human KHDRBS1.

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: The process of mRNA splicing required assembly of pre-mRNA into a large, dynamic RNA-protein complex, in which 5 small nuclear RNAs and more than 50 protein components are incorporated into functional small nuclear ribonucleoproteins(snRNPs). SART3 interacts with U6 snRNA and functioned as a U6-specific recycling factor responsible for regeneration of base-paired U4/U6 snRNPs from post-spliceosomal free U4 and U6 snRNPs. Also it can interact and regulate Tat transactivation activity, and act as a cellular factor for HIV-1 gene expession and viral replicaiton.

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: Y box binding protein 1(YBX1) is one of cis-acting elements which has a role in regulation of the expression of HLA class II genes. YBX1 is great of importance in regulation of PTP1B expression. It can bind to splice sites mediate pre-mRNA alternative splicing regulation. Also it involves in the regulation of translation by modulation of the interaction between the mRNA and eukaryotic initiation factors. Its transcriptional activity on the multidrug resistance gene MDR1 is enhanced in presence of the APEX1 acetylated form at 'Lys-6' and 'Lys-7'. The secreted form acts as an extracellular mitogen and stimulates cell migration and proliferation

Description: Polyadenylation of the 3-prime ends of eukaryotic mRNAs is a key event that takes place in the nucleus during maturation of mRNA. The reaction includes endoribonucleolytic cleavage of the pre-RNA at the poly(A) site that leads to synthesis of the poly(A) tail at the 3-prime end of the upstream cleavage product. The poly(A) polymerase (PAP) is required The adenosine addition reaction depends on poly(A) polymerase (PAP) activity. The testis express PAP-beta (TPAP) in the cytoplasm of spermatogenic cells. The adenosine addition function of PAP-beta plays a critical role in male germ cell production. PAP-beta-deficient transgenic mice display impaired expression of haploid-specific genes that are necessary for spermatogenesis. The intronless gene encoding human PAP-beta maps to chromosome 7p22.3.

Description: Ribonuclease UK114, also named HRSP12, is found predominantly in human adult kidney and liver and is responsible for inhibiting translation by cleaving mRNA. UK114 is mostly expressed in cytoplasm, but occasionally in nucleus in less differentiated cells. UK114 cleaves phosphodiester bonds only in single-stranded RNA. The levels of both the mRNA and protein are markedly reduced in heptatocellular tumors and in human hepatoma cell lines compared with normal liver tissues, suggesting that ribonuclease UK114 may be an important biomarker for heptatic carcinoma. Current antibody catalog# 12930-1-AP is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised from human full-length UK114.

Description: One of the major pre-mRNA-binding proteins. Binds tenaciously to poly(C) sequences. Likely to play a role in the nuclear metabolism of hnRNAs, particularly for pre-mRNAs that contain cytidine-rich sequences. Can also bind poly(C) single-stranded DNA. Plays an important role in p53/TP53 response to DNA damage, acting at the level of both transcription activation and repression. When sumoylated, acts as a transcriptional coactivator of p53/TP53, playing a role in p21/CDKN1A and 14-3-3 sigma/SFN induction (By similarity). As far as transcription repression is concerned, acts by interacting with long intergenic RNA p21 (lincRNA-p21), a non-coding RNA induced by p53/TP53. This interaction is necessary for the induction of apoptosis, but not cell cycle arrest.

Description: Translation initiation in eukaryotes necessitates the assembly of an 80S ribosomal complex. Eukaryotic initiation factors (eIFs) are utilized in a sequence of reactions that leads to 80S ribosomal assembly and initiation of translation. Mammalian eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4F (eIF4F) is a protein complex that contains eIF4A, eIF4E and eIF4G, binds mRNA at a 5-cap motif and recruits the 43S ribosomal preinitiation complex to the eligible transcript. Along with eIF4B, the eIF4F complex mediates the unwinding of mRNA secondary structure to facilitate ribosome association. eIF4E specifically interacts with the 5 cap, eIF4A(I,II) are bidirectional RNA helicases, and eIF4G(I,II) are scaffolding proteins which coordinate eIF4E, eIF4A, eIF3 and the 40S ribosome. Human eIF4AI (eIF4A, DDX2A) is a 406 amino acid protein that is 92.7% homologous to mouse eIF4AI. The promoter region of human eIF4A1 contains TATA and CAAT motifs and consensus binding sites to Sp1 and AP2.
