Catalog Number: (CAPIPA526531)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, porcine, non-human primate and rat based on sequence homology. LDHA catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. The protein is found predominantly in muscle tissue and belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. Mutations in this gene have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria.

Catalog Number: (89363-234)
Supplier: Genetex
Description: Malate dehydrogenase catalyzes the interconversion of L-malate and oxaloacetate using nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) as a coenzyme. Malate dehydrogenase is found in all eukaryotic cells as two isozymes: mitochondrial (m-MDH) and cytoplasmic (soluble, s-MDH). Prokaryotes contain only a single form. The two isozymes, both consisting of two very similar subunits of about 35kD and having similar enzymatic activity appear as different proteins. There is structural similarity of mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase to L-3-hydroxyacyl CoA dehydrogenase and the cytoplasmic malate dehydrogenase to lactate dehydrogenase.

Description: MUC1 is a large cell surface mucin glycoprotein expressed by most glandular and ductal epithelial cells and some hematopoietic cell lineages. It is expressed on most secretory epithelium, including mammary gland and some hematopoietic cells. It is expressed abundantly in lactating mammary glands and overexpressed abundantly in >90% breast carcinomas and metastases. Transgenic MUC-1 has been shown to associate with all four cebB receptors and localize with erbB1 (EGFR) in lactating glands. The MUC1 gene contains seven exons and produces several different alternatively spliced variants. The major expressed form of MUC1 uses all seven exons and is a type 1 transmembrane protein with a large extracellular tandem repeat domain. The tandem repeat domain is highly O glycosylated and alterations in glycosylation have been shown in epithelial cancer cells.

Supplier: Prosci
Description: Alpha-N-Acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-Sialyltransferase 2 (ST6GALNAC2) belongs to the glycosyltransferase 29 family that adds sialic acids to the non-reducing ends of glycoconjugates. At the cell surface, these modifications play roles in cell-cell and cell-substrate interactions, bacterial adhesion and protein targeting. ST6GALNAC2 is localized to the Golgi apparatus membrane. ST6GALNAC2 is highly expressed in lactating mammary glands and the adult testis; it is expressed at lower levels in the kidney. ST6GALNAC2 can catalyze 2,6-sialylation of the Tn antigen.

Description: Prolactin is a hormone that is produced and secreted by the pituitary gland. Prolactin acts in an endocrine, paracrine, and autocrine manner. The prolactin receptor (PRLR) is expressed on many cell types, including cells of the reproductive organs, central nervous system, and breast cancer. Prolactin signal transduction occurs via JAK kinase signaling pathways. The primary function of prolactin is to regulate lactation, but prolactin also plays functional roles in the immune system and during cell growth, apoptosis, and differentiation.

Catalog Number: (75789-502)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: Chorionic Somatomammotropin Hormone (CSH1) belongs to the Somatotropin/Prolactin family. It is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17. It is produced by cells in the syncytiotrophoblast layer of the placenta only during pregnancy. Although CSH1 does not interact with GHR but only activates PRLR through zinc-induced dimerization. It is expressed mainly in the placenta and utilizes multiple transcription initiation sites. CSH1 plays an important role in stimulating lactation, growth control and metabolism.

Description: The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. The similar protein in yeast has both D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase activities. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Catalog Number: (102971-632)
Supplier: Adipogen
Description: Pyruvate is the end-product of glycolysis, a major substrate for oxidative metabolism, and a branching point for glucose, lactate, fatty acid and amino acid synthesis. The mitochondrial enzymes that metabolize pyruvate are physically separated from cytosolic pyruvate pools and rely on a membrane transport system to shuttle pyruvate across the impermeable inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM). Two proteins, mitochondrial pyruvate carriers MPC-1 and MPC-2, form a heterooligomeric complex in the IMM to facilitate pyruvate transport. This step is required for mitochondrial pyruvate oxidation and carboxylation-critical reactions in intermediary metabolism that are dysregulated in several common metabolic diseases.

Description: This MAb reacts with MUC1. The dominant epitope of this MAb has not yet been determined. MUC1 is a large cell surface mucin glycoprotein expressed by most glandular and ductal epithelial cells and some hematopoietic cell lineages. It is expressed on most secretory epithelium, including mammary gland and some hematopoietic cells. It is expressed abundantly in lactating mammary glands and over expressed abundantly in >90% breast carcinomas and metastases. Transgenic MUC1 has been shown to associate with all four c-erbB receptors and localize with c-erbB1 (EGFR) in lactating glands. Antibody to EMA is useful as a pan-epithelial marker for detecting early metastatic loci of carcinoma in bone marrow or liver.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®647 is a far-red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 650/665 nm) with excellent brightness. It also is compatible with super-resolution imaging by STORM.
