Description: TNFSF13 gene encodes tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13 (or APRIL) belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family. APRIL is highly expressed in transformed cell lines, cancers of colon, thyroid, lymphoid tissues and specifically expressed in monocytes and macrophages, and its precursor is cleaved by furin. APRIL may be implicated in the regulation of tumor cell growth and also monocyte/macrophage-mediated immunological processes.

Catalog Number: (10087-662)
Supplier: Proteintech
Description: GMFB, Glia maturation factor beta, is a nerve growth factor implicated in nervous system development. It was reported that GMF-beta promotes the phenotypic expression of glia and neurons and inhibits the proliferation of their respective tumors in culture cells. GMF-beta protein is specific to the brain where it is expressed in glial cells (mainly astrocytes) and insome neurons. Higher levels of GMFB were found in the central nervous system, except for the spinal cord, and in thymus and colon.

Description: FAF1 was detected most abundant in testis, slightly less abundant in skeletal muscle and heart, followed by prostate, thymus, ovary, small intestine, and colon, but not in the peripheral blood leukocytes. The N-terminal region (amino acid 1∼201) including the upstream ubiquitin homology domain of hFAF1 could bind with the death domain of Fas, which mediates programmed cell death, also called apoptosis, in a number of organ systems, notably the immune and nervous systems.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This antibody recognizes proteins of 80-200 kDa, identified as different members of CEA family. CEA is synthesized during development in the fetal gut and is re-expressed in increased amounts in intestinal carcinomas and several other tumors. This MAb does not react with nonspecific cross-reacting antigen (NCA) and with human polymorphonuclear leucocytes. It shows no reaction with a variety of normal tissues and is suitable for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. CEA is not found in benign glands, stroma, or malignant prostatic cells. Antibody to CEA is useful in detecting early foci of gastric carcinoma and in distinguishing pulmonary adenocarcinomas (60-70% are CEA positive) from pleural mesotheliomas (rarely or weakly CEA positive) . Anti-CEA positivity is seen in adenocarcinomas from the lung, colon, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, gallbadder, urachus, salivary gland, ovary, and endocervix.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®405S is a blue fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 404/431 nm) with superior brightness compared to other blue dyes; it is also compatible with super-resolution imaging by SIM. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: HEXDC, also known as hexosaminidase D, beta-hexosaminidase D, N-acetyl-beta-galactosaminidase, hexosaminidase domain-containing protein or beta-N-acetylhexosaminidase, is a 486 amino acid cytoplasmic and nuclear protein that has hexosaminidase activity and belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 20 family. Existing as two alternatively spliced isoforms, HEXDC catalyzes the hydrolysis of non-reducing N-acetyl-D-hexosamine residues near the termini of N-acetyl-beta-D-hexosaminides. The gene encoding HEXDC maps to human chromosome 17, which comprises over 2.5% of the human genome and encodes over 1,200 genes. Two key tumor suppressor genes are associated with chromosome 17, namely, p53 and BRCA1. Defects in p53 is associated with malignant cell growth and Li-Fraumeni syndrome. BRCA1 is directly involved in DNA repair and is recognized as a genetic determinant of early onset breast cancer and predisposition to cancers of the ovary, colon, prostate gland and fallopian tubes.

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: SCNN1B, also named as SCNEB, ENaCB, Beta-NaCH and Beta-ENaC, belongs to the amiloride-sensitive sodium channel (TC 1.A.6) family and SCNN1B subfamily. Sodium permeable non-voltage-sensitive ion channel is inhibited by the diuretic amiloride. SCNN1B mediates the electrodiffusion of the luminal sodium (and water, which follows osmotically) through the apical membrane of epithelial cells. It controls the reabsorption of sodium in kidney, colon, lung and sweat glands. SCNN1B plays a role in taste perception.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This MAb recognizes full-length MUC1 in a glycosylation-independent manner and can bind to the fully glycosylated protein. The dominant epitope of this MAb is APDTR in the VNTR region. It reacts with the core peptide of the MUC1 protein, which is a member of a family of mucin glycoproteins that are characterized by high carbohydrate content, O-linked oligosaccharides, high molecular weight (>200 kDa) and an amino acid composition rich in serine, threonine, proline and glycine. The core protein contains a domain of 20 amino-acid tandem repeats that functions as multiple epitopes for the MAb. Incomplete glycosylation of some tumor-associated mucins may lead to variable unmasking of the multiple peptide epitopes leading to the observed differences in staining intensity between normal and malignant tissues. This MAb reacts with both normal and malignant epithelia of various tissues including breast and colon.

Supplier: Proteintech
Description: HAS3(hyaluronan synthase 3) belongs to the NodC/HAS family, which are widely expressed in human tissues and appear to function in embryogenesis, wound healing and other processes associated with cellular proliferation and migration. HAS3 is involved in the synthesis of the unbranched glycosaminoglycan hyaluronan, or hyaluronic acid, which is a major constituent of the extracellular matrix. It may play a role in the progression of colon cancer and, as such, may provide novel targets for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing and the protein has a glycosylation site.
