Description: AARE (Acylamino-acid-releasing enzyme) is also known as Acyl-peptide hydrolase. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of the terminal acetylated amino acid preferentially from small acetylated peptides. The acetyl amino acid formed by this hydrolase is further processed to acetate and a free amino acid by an aminoacylase. It can play an important role in destroying oxidatively damaged proteins in living cells. Deletions of this gene locus corresponding to the protein are found in various types of carcinomas, including small cell lung carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma.

Supplier: Genetex
Description: GALNT12 is a member of a family of UDP-GalNAc:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases (EC 2.4.1.41), which catalyze the transfer of N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) from UDP-GalNAc to a hydroxyl amino acid on a polypeptide acceptor in the initial step of mucin-type O-linked protein glycosylation (Guo et al., 2002 [PubMed 12135769]).[supplied by OMIM]

Catalog Number: (10750-766)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: NAT11 Antibody: N-terminal acetylation is one of the most common protein modifications in eukaryotes, occurring on approximately 57% and 84% on yeast and human proteins respectively. There are several N-terminal acetylating enzyme complexes (NatA - NatE). Unlike the other complexes, NatD is composed of a single protein, NAT11, and has recently been described to acetylate the Serine N-termini of histones H2A and H4 in yeast. The role these modifications play is unknown; yeast that do not express NAT11 grow at normal rates and have no observable phenotypes. The role of the human homolog is likewise unknown.

Description: NAT2 is a N-acetyltransferase 2 (arylamine N-acetyltransferase 2). This enzyme functions to both activate and deactivate arylamine and hydrazine drugs and carcinogens. Polymorphisms in its gene are reponsible for the N-acetylation polymorphism in which human populations segregate into rapid, intermediate, and slow acetylator phenotypes. Polymorphisms in NAT2 are also associated with higher incidences of cancer and drug toxicity. This gene encodes N-acetyltransferase 2 (arylamine N-acetyltransferase 2). Catalog Number: (10431-360)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: EID1 ia an acetyltransferase enzyme. It acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. EID1 also acetylates non histone proteins, like NCOA3 coactivator. It Mediates cAMP gene regulation by binding specifically to phosphorylated CREB protein and as coactivator, augments the activity of phosphorylated CREB to activate transcription of cAMP responsive genes.
