Description: Syntaxin 11 (STX11) belongs to the syntaxin family. It interacts with the SNARE proteins SNAP-23 and VAMP. STX11 behaves as an integral membrane protein despite the lack of a traditional transmembrane domain. The detection of STX11 in human cytotoxic lymphocytes suggests that this protein could play a role in the process leading to degranulation of secretory lysosomes .

Description: BMPs (Bone Morphogenetic Proteins) belong to the TGF-β superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. BMP-2 is a potent osteoinductive cytokine, capable of inducing bone and cartilage formation in association with an osteoconductive carrier such as collagen and synthetic hydroxyapatite. In addition to its osteogenic activity, BMP-2 appears to play an important role in cardiac morphogenesis, and is expressed in a variety of other tissues, including lung, liver, spleen, prostate, ovary, and small intestine. The functional form of BMP-2 is a 26 kDa protein composed of two identical 114 amino acid polypeptide chains (monomers) linked by a single disulfide bond. Each BMP-2 monomer is expressed as the C-terminal part of a precursor polypeptide, which also contains a 23 amino acid signal sequence for secretion, and a 259 amino acid propeptide. After dimerization of this precursor, the covalent bonds between the propeptide (which is also a disulfide-linked homodimer) and the mature BMP-2 ligand are cleaved by a furin-type protease. Recombinant Human/Murine/Rat BMP-2 derived from

Description: One of the three mammalian Natriuretic peptides, A-type is the Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) also called Cardiodilatin (CDD). ANP (1-28) peptide hormone constitutes the first 28 amino acids of the ANP synthesized in the heart of different vertebrates. It plays an important role in the regulation of blood pressure and natriuresis/diuresis. Residues Phe8, Arg14 and the C-terminal sequence of ANP are known to bind to human NPR-A (Natriuretic peptide receptor type A).

Description: FGF-basic is one of 23 known members of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-basic is a non-glycosylated, heparin-binding growth factor that is expressed in the brain, pituitary, kidney, retina, bone, testis, adrenal gland, liver, monocytes, epithelial cells and endothelial cells. FGF-basic signals through FGFR 1b, 1c, 2c, 3c and 4. Recombinant Human FGF-basic is a 17.2 kDa protein consisting of 154 amino acid residues.

Description: Interleukin 17AF (IL-17AF) is a heterodimer that is composed of the interleukin 17A (IL-17A) and interleukin 17F (IL-17F) members of the IL-17 family of cytokines. IL-17AF is produced by T helper 17 cells (Th17) following interleukin 23 (IL-23) stimulation. IL-17AF signals through the IL-17RA/IL-17RC receptor complex and functions to regulate inflammatory responses. IL-17AF induces chemokine and airway neutrophilia production, similar in function to IL-17A and IL-17F homodimers. In regard to these functions, IL-17AF is less active than the IL-17A homodimer and shows greater activity than the IL-17F homodimer. Human and rat IL-17AF are active on mouse cells.

Description: Chemokine Ligand 26 protein (CCL26) is a novel small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family which is involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CCL26 is constitutively expressed in thymus, but only transiently expressed in phytohemagglutinin-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells. It specifically binds and induces chemotaxis in T cells and elicits its effects by interacting with the chemokine receptor CCR4. CCL26, along with Eotaxin-1 and Eotaxin-2, selectively activates the CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3). The Eotaxin-3-CCR3 interaction may play an important role in allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis and bronchial asthma. The full-length cDNA for CCL26 encodes a protein of 94 amino acids with a putative signal peptide of either 23 or 26 amino acid residues. Both the 71 and 68 amino acid residue variants of recombinant CCL26 demonstrate equal potency in inducing chemotaxis of a human CCR3-transfected cell line. Unlike most other CC chemokines, CCL26 maps to human chromosome 7q11.2, within 40 kilobases of the Eotaxin-2 loci. CCL26 and Eotaxin-2 are unique in that they are the only chemokines identified to date that map to chromosome 7.

Description: LSS, also named as OSC, is lanosterol synthase which catalyzes the cyclization of (S)-2,3 oxidosqualene to lanosterol, a reaction that forms the sterol nucleus. LSS gene has three isoforms with MW 74 kDa and 82-85 kDa. This antibody can recognize all these three isoforms.

Description: Fibroblast growth factor-1 also designated basic FGF, are members of a family of growth factors that stimulate proliferation of cells of mesenchymal, epithe-lial and neuroectodermal origin. Additional members of the FGF family include the oncogenes FGF-3 (Int2) and FGF-4 (hst/Kaposi), FGF-5, FGF-6, FGF-7 (KGF), FGF-8 (AIGF), FGF-9 (GAF) and FGF-10–FGF-23. Members of the FGF family share 30-55% amino acid sequence identity and similar gene structure, and are capable of transforming cultured cells when overexpressed in transfected cells. Cellular receptors for FGFs are members of a second multigene family including four tyrosine kinases, designated Flg (FGFR-1), Bek (FGFR-L), TKF and FGFR-3.

Description: Members of the BAGE gene family encode antigens that are recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and are also known as CT (cancer/testis) antigens. Generated by juxtacentromeric shuffling of the MLL3 gene, the ancestral BAGE gene was expanded by acrocentric exchanges and/or juxtacentromeric movements.Generally, BAGE proteins are silent in all normal tissues with the exception of testis. BAGE2 and BAGE 3 (B melanoma antigen 2 and 3, respectively), also known as Cancer/testis antigen 2.2 and 2.3 (respectively), are 109 amino acid secreted proteins that are expressed in 22% of melanomas, lung and bladder carcinomas, and are also expressed in normal testis tissue. Like the genes encoding MAGE proteins, BAGE genes are most likely silenced by DNA methylation and/or chromatin compaction in normal tissues other than testis.
