Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane protein that localizes to the endocytic pathway. This protein contains a RING zinc-finger motif and has been shown to possess E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. Expression of this gene in retrovirally transduced T cell hybridoma significantly inhibits activation-induced IL2 and IL4 cytokine production. Induced expression of this gene was observed in anergic CD4(+) T cells, which suggested a role in the induction of anergic phenotype. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description: Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (g proteins) are involved as a modulator or transducer in various transmembrane signaling systems, by integrating signals between receptors and effector proteins. G proteins are composed of an alpha, a beta, and a gamma subunit. This gene encodes a 34 kd beta subunit, being expressed in all tissues. Beta subunits are important regulators of alpha subunits, as well as of certain signal transduction receptors and effectors.

Description: G protein-coupled receptors (GPRs, or GPCRs) contain 7 hydrophobic transmembrane domains embedded in hydrophilic intra- and extracellular loops and transduce a variety of hormone, endogenous peptide, and neurotransmitter signals into intracellular effects via G proteins. GRP30 is a member of this family and is an orphan receptor. GPR30 expression has been reported in brain, breast carcinoma, blood, bone marrow, CNS, heart, liver, lung, lymph node, placenta, and spleen. In brain, GPR30 is expressed as a 2.8 kb transcript in basal forebrain, frontal cortex, thalamus, hippocampus, caudate and putamen. However, unlike other known G protein-coupled receptors, GPR30 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum, where it specifically binds estrogen and estrogen derivatives.

Catalog Number: (76084-112)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Signal transducer and transcription activator that mediates cellular responses to interleukins, KITLG/SCF and other growth factors. May mediate cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Binds to the interleukin-6 (IL-6)-responsive elements identified in the promoters of various acute-phase protein genes. Activated by IL31 through IL31RA. Cytoplasmic STAT3 represses macroautophagy by inhibiting EIF2AK2/PKR activity. Plays an important role in host defense in methicillin-resistant S.aureus lung infection by regulating the expression of the antimicrobial lectin REG3G (By similarity).

Description: Receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD) that is an intracellular signal transducer and transcriptional modulator activated by TGF-beta (transforming growth factor) and activin type 1 receptor kinases. Binds the TRE element in the promoter region of many genes that are regulated by TGF-beta and, on formation of the SMAD2/SMAD4 complex, activates transcription. May act as a tumor suppressor in colorectal carcinoma. Positively regulates PDPK1 kinase activity by stimulating its dissociation from the 14-3-3 protein YWHAQ which acts as a negative regulator.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with mouse and rat based on sequence homology. This gene encodes a transmembrane low-density lipoprotein receptor that binds and internalizes ligands in the process of receptor-mediated endocytosis. This protein also acts as a co-receptor with Frizzled protein family members for transducing signals by Wnt proteins and was originally cloned on the basis of its association with type 1 diabetes mellitus in humans. This protein plays a key role in skeletal homeostasis and many bone density related diseases are caused by mutations in this gene. Mutations in this gene also cause familial exudative vitreoretinopathy.

Description: STAT3 Antibody: STATs (signal transducers and activators of transcription) are a family of cytoplasmic latent transcription factors that are activated to regulate gene expression in response to a large number of extracellular signaling polypeptides including cytokines, interferons, and growth factors. After phosphorylation by JAK tyrosine kinases, STATs enter the nucleus to regulate transcription of many different genes. Among the seven STATs (STAT1, STAT2, STAT3, STAT4, STAT5a, STAT5b, and STAT6), STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, and STAT5b have a wide activation profile. STAT3 signals are pivotal to the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells and also participate in neuronal regeneration and cancers of the nervous system.
