Catalog Number: (75789-912)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: Folate receptor alpha(FOLR) belongs to the folate receptor family, and is primarily expressed in tissues of epithelial origin. It is also expressed in kidney, lung and cerebellum. The secreted form is derived from the membrane-bound form either by cleavage of the GPI anchor, or/and by proteolysis catalyzed by a metalloprotease. FOLR1 binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. It has high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH. Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release. It is required for normal embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.

Catalog Number: (10491-990)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Folate is an essential vitamin that must be obtained from food intake through intestinal absorption in mammals. Folate and reduced folic acid derivatives bind to the folate receptor (FR) family, which mediates the endocytosis of 5-methyltetrahydofolate into the cell.

Catalog Number: (77436-832)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: May be involved in cell migration and/or actin cytoskeleton organization. When expressed in keratinocytes, induces changes in cell morphology with transfected cells showing an elongated shape, numerous membrane protrusions, major reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, increased motility and decreased cell adhesion. Required for normal lung cell proliferation and alveolus formation at birth. Induces platelet aggregation. Does not have any effect on folic acid or amino acid transport. Does not function as a water channel or as a regulator of aquaporin-type water channels.

Catalog Number: (10081-384)
Supplier: Proteintech
Description: M2A(D2-40) antigen is a previously identified marker for CIS and seminoma. M2A (D2-40) antigen has been identical to PDPN.. PDPN, also named as GP36, Gp38, GP40, HT1A-1, OTS8, PA2.26, T1A and T1A-2, has a function in developing testis, most likely at the level of cell-cell interactions among pre-meiotic germ cells and immature Sertoli cells. It may be involved in cell migration and/or actin cytoskeleton organization. When expressed in keratinocytes, PDPN induces changes in cell morphology with transfected cells showing an elongated shape, numerous membrane protrusions, major reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, increased motility and decreased cell adhesion. It is required for normal lung cell proliferation and alveolus formation at birth. PDPN induces platelet aggregation. It does not have any effect on folic acid or amino acid transport and does not function as a water channel or as a regulator of aquaporin-type water channels. The antibody is special to PDPN.

Catalog Number: (10087-106)
Supplier: Proteintech
Description: Folate receptor 1 (FOLR1), also known as folate receptor alpha or adult folate-binding protein (FBP), is a 38-kDa glycoprotein belonging to the folate receptor family . The receptor binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate to the interior of cells. FOLR1 is a secreted protein that either anchors to membranes via a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. FOLR1 expression is often limited to the apical surfaces of epithelium in the lung, kidney and choroid plexus but is differentially overexpressed in a variety of solid tumors such as ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, kidney cancer and high-grade osteosarcoma .
