Supplier: Prosci
Description: ENPP6 is a choline-specific glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase. ENPP6 hydrolyzes the classical substrate for phospholipase C, p-nitrophenyl phosphorylcholine, while it does not hydrolyze the classical nucleotide phosphodiesterase substrate, p-nitrophenyl thymidine 5'-monophosphate. ENPP6 hydrolyzes lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) to form monoacylglycerol and phosphorylcholine but not lysophosphatidic acid, showing it has a lysophospholipase C activity. ENPP6 has a preference for LPC with short (12:0 and 14:0) or polyunsaturated (18:2 and 20:4) fatty acids. Also hydrolyzes glycerophosphorylcholine and sphingosylphosphorylcholine efficiently.

Description: The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family, is the rate-controlling enzyme of the long-chain fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway in muscle mitochondria. This enzyme is required for the net transport of long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, and read-through transcripts are expressed from the upstream locus that include exons from this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009].

Catalog Number: (CAPIPA5-18597)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat based on sequence homology. PBP binds ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine, exhibiting a lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. This serine protease inhibitor inhibits thrombin, neuropsin and chymotrypsin but not trypsin, tissue type plasminogen activator and elastase. PBP contains hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), which may be involved in the function of the presynaptic cholinergic neurons of the central nervous system. HCNP increases the production of choline acetyltransferase but not acetylcholinesterase.

Description: CPT1A, also named as CPT1, CPT1-L and L-CPTI, belongs to the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family. It is Localized Chromosome 11q13.1-2. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) deficiencies are common disorders of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. The CPT system is made up of two separate proteins located in the outer (CPT1) and inner (CPT2) mitochondrial membranes. CPT1A is an active forms of related liver-type carnitine palmitoyltransferase I. . CPT1A deficiency presents as recurrent attacks of fasting hypoketotic hypoglycemia. . This antibody can bind the close sequences genes.

Description: CRAT, also named as CAT1, belongs to the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family. It is specific for short chain fatty acids. CRAT seems to affect the flux through the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. It may be involved as well in the transport of acetyl-CoA into mitochondria. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) deficiencies are common disorders of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. The CPT system is made up of two separate proteins located in the outer (CPT1) and inner (CPT2) mitochondrial membranes. CRAT is an active forms for carnitine acetyltransferase. Description: CPT1C, also named as CATL1, CPTI-B and B-CPTI, belongs to the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) deficiencies are common disorders of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. The CPT system is made up of two separate proteins located in the outer (CPT1) and inner (CPT2) mitochondrial membranes. CPT1C is an active forms of related brain-type carnitine palmitoyltransferase I. CPT1C may be a regulated target of malonyl-CoA that relays the “malonyl-CoA signal” in hypothalamic neurons that express the orexigenic and anorexigenic neuropeptides that regulate food intake and peripheral energy expenditure. This antibody can bind the close sequences genes.
