Catalog Number: (10119-150)
Supplier: Biotium
Description: DAB (3,3′-diaminobenzidine) reacts with HRP in the presence of peroxide to yield an insoluble brown-colored product at locations where peroxidase-conjugated antibodies are bound to samples. The brown precipitate is insoluble in alcohol and other organic solvents, making it an excellent substrate for immunohistochemical staining that requires the use of traditional counterstains and mounting media.

Catalog Number: (75793-558)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: Glutathione peroxidase 3 (GPX3) is a selenium-dependent extracellular enzyme, protecting cells and enzymes from oxidative damage by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxides. GPX3 is involved in inflammatory bowel disease, in asthma and in diabetes. The activity of GPX3 is significantly reduced in the plasma and tissue of cancer patients. Recently, GPX3 was suggested to serve as a molecular marker for the diagnosis of clear cell type ovarian adenocarcinoma.

Catalog Number: (77506-916)
Supplier: TERRAGENE
Description: Automatic record system. chemical indicator, double self-adhesive labels printed with indicator ink (29×22.5 mm), for plasma or vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes. Rolls of 750 labels. Turns from purple to green.

Catalog Number: (89360-116)
Supplier: Genetex
Description: The Peroxiredoxin (Prdx, Prx, or Trx-Px) family of enzymes is a recently identified family of peroxidases found in free-living organisms. The six known isoforms (Prx1-6) play an important role in protecting lipids, enzymes and DNA against peroxides, such as hydrogen peroxide. The ubiquitously expressed peroxiredoxins have also been shown to play a role in apoptosis and cell differentiation. This is acomplished by the active cysteine of Prx reducing peroxides, which is then converted into a transient cysteine sulfenic acid or cysteine sulfinic acid. If Prx protection is inadequate against peroxidases, the resulting protein and DNA damage may result in neurological disease such as Alzheimer's or DNA damage leading to cancer.

Catalog Number: (10389-176)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Involved in redox regulation of the cell. Reduces peroxides with reducing equivalents provided through the thioredoxin system but not from glutaredoxin. May play an important role in eliminating peroxides generated during metabolism. Might participate in the signaling cascades of growth factors and tumor necrosis factor-alpha by regulating the intracellular concentrations of H(2)O(2). Reduces an intramolecular disulfide bond in GDPD5 that gates the ability to GDPD5 to drive postmitotic motor neuron differentiation (By similarity).

Catalog Number: (76118-084)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Aldehydic products of lipid peroxidation, such as 4 hydroxynonenal (4 HNE), have been implicated in the etiology of pathological changes under oxidative stress as a key mediator of oxidative stress induced cell death. It is a stable product of lipid peroxidation, is proarrhythmic and may contribute to the cytotoxic effects of oxidative stress

4-HNE has been hypothesized to play a key role in cell signal transduction, in a variety of pathways from cell cycle events to cellular adhesion.
