Description: S100A6 is also named as calcyclin, prolactin receptor-associated protein (PRA), growth factor-inducible protein 2A9 ir MLN4. It belongs to S100 family of low molecular weight, acidic, calcium-binding proteins which contain two EF-hand calcium binding sites. S100A6 may function as a calcium sensor to activate several processes in the calcium signal transduction pathway of cell growth, proliferation, secretion and exocytosis. The antibody is specific for S100A6.

Catalog Number: (89417-542)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: CaBP7 Antibody: Calcium binding proteins (CaBP) play a crucial role in the calcium-mediated cellular signal transduction pathway in the central nervous system. The CaBP family shares much similarity with CaM I (calmodulin), and it has been shown that CaBP proteins can substitute functionally for, and possibly augment the function of, CaM I. CaBP7 (Calcium-binding protein 7), contains two EF-hand domains for calcium binding and shares 70% homology with CaBP8 and 50% homology with CaM I. It negatively regulates Golgi-to-plasma membrane trafficking by interacting with PI4KB and inhibiting its activity. CaBP7 and 8 possess a targeting mechanism that is unique amongst the CaBPs that may contribute to differential functional Ca2+-sensing by these family members.

Catalog Number: (76118-600)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Forms a voltage-independent potassium channel that is activated by intracellular calcium. Activation is followed by membrane hyperpolarization which promotes calcium influx. Required for maximal calcium influx and proliferation during the reactivation of naive T-cells. The channel is blocked by clotrimazole and charybdotoxin but is insensitive to apamin.

Catalog Number: (75790-122)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: Calcitonin is a secreted protein which belongs to the calcitonin family. Calcitonin is cleaved into the following two chains: Calcitonin and Katacalcin. Katacalcin is a potent plasma calcium-lowering peptide. Calcitonin is a 32-amino acid linear polypeptide hormone. Calcitonin acts to reduce blood calcium (Ca2+), opposing the effects of parathyroid hormone (PTH). Its importance in humans has not been as well established as its importance in other animals, as its function is usually not significant in the regulation of normal calcium homeostasis. Calcitonin causes a rapid but short-lived drop in the level of calcium and phosphate in blood by promoting the incorporation of those ions in the bones.

Catalog Number: (10083-934)
Supplier: Proteintech
Description: CACNA1B, also named as CACH5, CACNL1A5 and BIII, belongs to the calcium channel alpha-1 subunit (TC 1.A.1.11) family. Voltage-sensitive calcium channels (VSCC) mediate the entry of calcium ions into excitable cells and are also involved in a variety of calcium-dependent processes, including muscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release, gene expression, cell motility, cell division and cell death. CACNA1B gives rise to N-type calcium currents. N-type calcium channels belong to the 'high-voltage activated' (HVA) group and are blocked by omega-conotoxin-GVIA (omega-CTx-GVIA) and by omega-agatoxin-IIIA (omega-Aga-IIIA). They are however insensitive to dihydropyridines (DHP), and omega-agatoxin-IVA (omega-Aga-IVA). CACNA1B may play a role in directed migration of immature neurons.

Description: Protein S100-A9 (also MRP14 and calgranulin B)is a calcium- and zinc-binding protein which plays a prominent role in the regulation of inflammatory processes and immune response. It can induce neutrophil chemotaxis, adhesion, can increase the bactericidal activity of neutrophils by promoting phagocytosis via activation of SYK, PI3K/AKT, and ERK1/2 and can induce degranulation of neutrophils by a MAPK-dependent mechanism.
