Description: gAcrp30 is a naturally occurring globular protein obtained by proteolytic processing of adiponectin. Adiponectin is produced and secreted exclusively by adipocytes, and is a relatively abundant plasma protein, accounting for up to 0.05% of total serum protein. Like Adiponectin, gAcrp30 is capable of decreasing hyperglycemia and reversing insulin resistance. Additionally, gAcrp30 has been shown to be an important factor in promoting fat loss by signaling muscle to absorb and burn Free-Fatty Acids (FFAs). The signaling receptors for adiponectin and gAcrp30 have recently been identified and named AdipoR1 and AdipoR2. AdipoR2 is predominantly expressed in the liver. Recombinant Murine gAcrp30 is a 16.6 kDa protein consisting of 145 amino acid residues.

Description: RELMα belongs to a unique family of tissue-specific cytokines termed FIZZ (found in inflammatory zone) and RELM. The four known members of this family, resistin, RELMα, RELMβ, and RELMγ, are 85-94 amino acid, secreted proteins sharing a conserved C-terminal domain, characterized by 10 cysteine residues with a unique spacing motif of C-X11-C-X8-C-X-C-X3-C-X10-C-X-C-X-C-X9-C-C. RELMα and resistin are secreted exclusively by adipocytes, while RELMβ is expressed in the epithelium of the colon and small bowel. The physiological role and molecular targets of RELMα are still unknown. Recombinant Murine RELMα is a 10.0 kDa monomeric protein containing 89 amino acid residues.

Description: HB-EGF is an EGF-related growth factor that signals through the EGF receptor, and stimulates the proliferation of smooth muscle cells (SMC), fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and keratinocytes. HB-EGF is expressed in numerous cell types and tissues, including vascular endothelial cells, and vascular SMC, macrophages, skeletal muscle, keratinocytes, and certain tumor cells. The ability of HB-EGF to specifically bind heparin and heparin sulfate proteoglycans is distinct from other EGF-like molecules, and may be related to the enhanced mitogenic activity, relative to EGF, that HB-EGF exerts on smooth muscle cells. The human HB-EGF gene encodes a 208 amino acid transmembrane protein, which can be proteolytically cleaved to produce soluble HB-EGF. Recombinant Human HB-EGF is a 9.7 kDa protein containing 86 amino acid residues, corresponding to the extracellular EGF-like and heparin-binding domains of the full length HB-EGF protein.

Description: Epigen is an EGF-related polypeptide growth factor that signals through the ErbB receptor-1. It is produced in several tissues, including the testis, liver, and heart, as well as in certain tumor cells. Epigen is mitogenic for fibroblasts and epithelial cells. Human Epigen is initially synthesized as a glycosylated 14.7 kDa transmembrane precursor protein, which is processed by proteolytic cleavage to produce a mature soluble sequence. Recombinant Human Epigen is a 7.9 kDa monomeric protein, containing 72 amino acid residues, which comprises the EGF-homologous portion of the Epigen precursor.

Description: VAP-1 is a type II membrane cell adhesion protein belonging to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family. It is primarily expressed on the high endothelial venules of peripheral lymph nodes and on hepatic endothelia. VAP-1 can catalyze the oxidative deamination of low molecular weight amines, and plays an important role in the migration of lymphocytes to inflamed tissue. Inhibition of VAP-1 can protect against inflammation-related damage to certain injured tissues. Additionally, VAP-1 can function as a significant prognostic marker for certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases. Recombinant Human VAP-1 is a mixture of monomeric and disulfide-linked homodimeric forms of a 737 amino acid polypeptide, corresponding to amino acids 27 to 763 of the VAP-1 precursor. The calculated molecular weight of Recombinant Human VAP-1 is 81.8 kDa.

Description: IL-2 is a powerful immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions that are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine-activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Recombinant Human IL-2 is a 15.5 kDa protein, containing 134 amino acid residues including one intrachain disulfide bond.

Description: VCAM is a 110 kDa, cell surface integral membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the Ig-related superfamily of adhesion molecules. The primary function of VCAM-1 is the mediation of leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. VCAM-1 may play a vital role in the development of several diseases, including atherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. The human VCAM-1 gene codes for a 715 amino acid transmembrane glycoprotein containing a 19 amino acid cytoplasmic domain, a 22 amino acid transmembrane domain, and a 674 amino acid extracellular domain. Recombinant Human VCAM-1 is a 74.1 kDa glycoprotein comprising the extracellular domain (674 amino acid residues) of VCAM-1. Monomeric glycosylated VCAM-1 migrates at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 90.0 kDa by SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing conditions.
