DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR Coveralls
Disposable Garments

DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR coveralls feature a respirator fit hood, front zipper closure, chin flap, double storm flap, elastic face opening, elastic wrists, elastic ankles, elastic waist, taped seams, and pin lock zipper.

  • Respirator-fit hood

  • Covered elastic face opening
  • Covered elastic openings at wrists and ankles for tighter fit
  • Elastic at sides of waist for better fit
  • Chin flap with double-sided adhesive tape
  • Double storm flap covers the zipper, which can be sealed by the wearer with double-sided adhesive strip to prevent intrusion
  • Taped seams provide strong chemical resistance against heavy liquid splashes

A sewn seam is heat-sealed with a strip of compatible chemical-resistant material, featuring a nylon zipper with a large metal pull and a pin lock mechanism that prevents accidental unzipping, all manufactured without natural rubber latex.

DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR garments provide broad chemical protection and secondary flame resistance in a durable, lightweight garment for use in environments where chemical splash and flash fire hazards exist. Designed to be worn over primary flame-resistant protective clothing, Tychem® 6000 SFR garments help provide industrial workers and hazmat responders with permeation protection against a range of chemicals while providing escape time from flash fires. Tychem® 6000 SFR fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection for more than 250 chemical challenges including chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, and flammable organic solvents.

In the event that a flash fire occurs, Tychem® 6000 SFR garments won't contribute to additional burn injury if appropriate primary flame-resistant personal protective equipment, such as DuPont™ Nomex®, is worn beneath.

Applications include use in oil and gas industries, industrial chemical processing plants, laboratories, hazmat teams in fire departments, industrial fire brigades, and clandestine lab investigation.

Certifications:

Coveralls meet the U.S. industry requirements for blood (ASTM F1670) and viral penetration (ASTM F1671), protecting against several bloodborne pathogen exposure risks.
