Strontium oxide

Strontium oxide was used to make television picture tube glass. It finds application in glass, optic and ceramic industry. It is an active component of paint dryers. It is also used to prepare pure strontium up on heating with aluminum under vacuum.

Moisture sensitive. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with water.
