The two-piece design eliminates nearly all vibration transmission from filter/blower console to work surface

The workstation frame is made of welded steel with a corrosion-resistant polyurethane enamel finish. The work surface has a depth of 61cm (24") and is 76.2Hcm (30") from floor. Benches feature removable acrylic side panels and a convenient recessed knee space for operator comfort. A duplex receptacle is located on the front leg of the bench for easy access. The nonglare, plastic laminated work surface is easy to clean. A recessed fluorescent light fixture provides 150 foot-candles of illumination at the work surface.

Benches utilize a direct-drive continuous-duty 1/2hp motor with sealed-for-life bearings dynamically balanced and mounted on rubber-in-shear vibration isolators. The motor is designed to provide rated airflow through the filter loading in excess of 50% over initial static pressure. The motor features solid-state speed control with RFI suppression for adjusting airflow velocity.

Benches feature HEPA filters to provide an ISO Class 5 (FED-STD-209E Class 100/M3.5) work environment. The HEPA filters have a minimum efficiency of 99.99% at 0.3µm or larger. A perforated aluminum diffuser screen protects the HEPA filter while maintaining uniform air velocity within the work area. A 30% ASHRAE washable prefilter is included to extend the life of the HEPA filter.
