Swiss cutting tweezers, also known as cutting forceps or scissors forceps, are designed for cutting tissues or other materials during surgical procedures. Cutting forceps are ideal for use in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, and more. The primary purpose of cutting forceps is to provide surgeons with a precise and controlled tool for cutting tissues, sutures, or other materials in the operating room.
- High precision cutting tweezers
- Predominantly angled blades for surgical applications
- Ideal for high density PCBs and SMT
These are hand forceps with a spring action letting you pinch the blades together to control the amount of pressure used. These forceps have sharp, cutting edges that allow for clean and accurate incisions. They are also handy in working with electronics, because you can quickly snip soft copper, gold, silver, and stainless steel wire or braids. They are 11.5 cm (4.5") long.
Choose either surgical grade stainless steel or ones with tungsten carbide inserts. Both are suitable for autoclaving or chemical sterilization. Tungsten carbide (TC) is extremely hard and durable, giving you a long-lasting pair of forceps. With a high coefficient of friction, TC forceps offer enhanced gripping ability for a secure hold with minimal friction against tissues.
The reduced friction means less tissue damage as a result of handling. Tungsten carbide is also resistant to corrosion. All of these surgical forceps are quality Swiss-made instruments.
