These scissors are often preferred by inexperienced surgeons and students. The spring mechanism that allows for smooth, precise cutting action, which reduces the risk of tissue damage or trauma. The spring scissors also help to mitigate hand fatigue, because they spring back naturally after you make your cut. Choose either straight or curved for the 6 mm blade. The curved surgical scissors are used in ophthalmology to make precise incisions in the cornea or delicate tissues.
The curved tip gives greater visibility at the tip of the scissors. The straight blades are more often used in microdissection, microsurgery, neurosurgery or plastic surgery. The spring handled surgical scissors are preferred by left-handed surgeons, because they can be used ambidextrously. This gives the left-handed surgeon a more natural cutting action, which means the surgeon has greater control of the tip and the cutting movement. These are available in surgical grade stainless steel, which can withstand high heat for autoclaving or chemical sterilisation. To ensure the longevity or your fine surgical scissors, always clean them thoroughly after every use.
