CentriVap® Refrigerated Vacuum Concentrators, Labconco®
Evaporators Centrifugal Evaporators
Specifically designed to rapidly concentrate multiple small heat-sensitive samples using centrifugal force, vacuum, and controlled temperature

An easy-to-read LCD screen prompts users through programming and parameter settings. Programming is provided for two temperature and time settings, with set points selected separately. The control panel features Run/Stop, Preheat/Cool, set point Select, increase/decrease, and three Quick-Start™ funtions to allow operation at the touch of a button. Cooling, heating, and centrifugal procedures are microprocessor-controlled, with a memory that stores nine user-set programs. Temperatures and run times may be altered while the program is in progress. The brushless motor is capable of achieving up to 1725 rpm. A Quick-Stop function will stop vacuum pump, open air valve, and stop the rotor within seconds of preset time elapsing, or when the Run/Stop button is activated. An automatic release valve prevents sample loss, and a built-in vacuum delay prevents bumping by allowing the rotor to achieve speed before applying vacuum. An audible alarm alerts users to the completion of set point programs.

All compact models feature a brushed stainless steel front panel, and are available with acrylic or acid-resistant glass lids. A lid latch with safety sensor prevents start up when the lid is open. The thick-walled aluminum chamber is epoxy coated, and its large, 30.5 cm (12") diameter accommodates a variety of rotors. The phenol-free lid seal lessens the potential for phenol contamination. All models are equipped with 1.3 cm (¹/₂") O.D. aluminum hose fitting for connection to vacuum tubing, and vacuum port with quick disconnect fitting for 0.6 cm (¹/₄") I.D. tubing (vacuum pump and gauge not included). An electrical receptacle on the back allows the vacuum pump to be powered and controlled via the control panel.

Note: All electrical current ratings exclude vacuum pump usage.

Unique to commercially available concentrators, this line combines a ¹/₄ hp refrigeration system that cools to –4 °C (25 °F) with a 300 W heater that warms to 100 °C (212 °F) to achieve selected set point temperatures.
