The TLS 2200® printer is a lightweight handheld labeling system that provides thermal transfer printing, bar coding, and multiple material configurations, including die cut and continuous labels
The TLS PC Link™ uses the same ribbons and labels as the TLS 2200® and is designed for use with a PC. The PC Link printer must be connected to a PC for use, but its small size and rechargeable battery allows easy transfer from one PC to another. Brady Programming Language (BPL) provides a communication language for end users to create their own programs and send controls down to the printer for printing labels. The language allows the printer to be integrated with non-Windows-based equipment such as wire testers, electrical meters, and medical devices.
Both printers can be used with IdentiLab™ labeling software and other Windows® applications. IdentiLab™ software employs easy-to-use wizards and a streamlined, click-and-drop style interface to create files and templates for labeling solutions. It matches hundreds of parts and graphics with common lab applications to simplify label making and features a multi-label data entry view, automatic text formatting, 2-D and linear barcode support, as well as superscript and subscript characters. A database import capability has a refresh feature to ensure data integrity.
Labels are available in a variety of materials and styles for various applications. Polyester labels can be used in freezers to –80°C (–112°F) and autoclaves to 121°C (250°F). The high-performance lab polyester labels feature a low profile to prevent vials from jamming in centrifuges and racks and can be used in liquid nitrogen to –196°C (–321°F) and in autoclaves up to 121°C (250°F). For use in liquid nitrogen, the label must wrap around the vial and slightly overlap itself. The nylon cloth material features a permanent adhesive and thick construction that makes it durable, yet easy to handle. Nylon cloth resists liquid nitrogen to –196°C (–321°F), and can be used in freezers and autoclaves. Nylon cloth material should not be used on glass in liquid nitrogen.
All labels are white with black lettering unless stated otherwise.
Printer is ideal for users needing to create 25 to 250 labels at a time. An internal memory allows users to create and save legends in lists and recall them with only a few keystrokes. A two-line, 16-character wide LCD ensures accurate label making. Printer automatically adjusts to the size and type of labels inserted, and auto-text sizing allows the printer to read label style, select a suitable type size, and register it for printing. Rechargeable battery pack prints over 500 labels between charges.
