RapidVap® Vacuum Evaporation Systems, 230 V
Evaporators Centrifugal Evaporators
Systems combine vortex motion, heat, and vacuum to quickly evaporate solvents from multiple biological or analytical samples.

  • 230 V model

Memory stores 1 to 9 programs. Microprocessor-controlled programming for vortex speed from 0 to 100%; heat from OFF to 100 °C; time from 1 to 999 minutes; vacuum level from 0 to 999 mBar. LCD for display of program number, actual and set point, vortex speeds, temperatures, time remaining, and point vacuum level. Control panel with run/stop button, preheat/end alarm button and indicator light, set point selection buttons, and increase/decrease programming buttons. Audible alarm for timed end point. Audible/visual alarm for endpoint detected by temperature sensors at heater and block.

Systems consist of a glacier white and charcoal epoxy-coated aluminum base with thermoplastic upper housing, a fluoropolymer resin-coated cast aluminum chamber and a 1.3 cm (¹/₂") thick glass lid with safety switch/alarm. Models with lid heater are available for applications involving water or other high boiling point solvents. Lid heater increases visibility and eliminates fogging.

The microprocessor-controlled agitation at 1000 rpm causes the liquid sample to form a vortex configuration that helps prevent bumping and greatly increases the surface area, enhancing evaporation. Rear-mounted vacuum port and electrical receptacle allow connection to a vacuum pump.

Certifications: 230 V models are CE marked.

Ordering information: Vacuum pump hose and clamps are provided. The 115 V models include a 2 m (6' 6") three-wire cord and a 20A plug. The 230 V models include a 2 m (6' 6") three-wire cord and a 15 A plug. Vacuum pumps, traps, and interchangeable fluoropolymer resin-coated aluminum blocks are sold separately. Contact your Avantor representative to select the appropriate vacuum pump and trap.

Caution: 230 V model. Corresponding models with voltage suitable for use in US (37001-376 or 37001-380) are also available, please see separate product page.
