Stackable orbital shakers provide an ideal solution for both sensitive cultures and traditional 'hard shake' applications in incubated and refrigerated configurations.

  • 240 V model

A heavy-duty, eccentric drive mechanism allows extended speed ranges with minimal vibration, even when units are stacked. The slide-out platform features a large mounting surface area and is secured to ensure smooth and stable motion. Platform motion is continually monitored independently of motor operation. The cool running, brushless, ¹/₃ HP, DC motor provides maintenance-free operation and long life. The horizontal HEPA filter airflow design ensures that interior air remains clean and reduces the threat of cross-contamination for improved culturing conditions.

Microprocessor control/monitoring system allows intuitive icon-based programming and operation. A two-line, 40 character message/information center provides continuous updates of setpoint, actual time, speed, and temperature. Audible/visual over and under temperature tracking alarms ensure product protection. The microprocessor tracks total accumulated time on motor and drive systems, and the memory saves all settings during power outages, restoring operation and settings when power is returned. Controlled acceleration significantly reduces wetting of flask closure and splashing. An RS-232 port is standard on all models.

Exterior is constructed of heavy-gauge, cold-rolled steel. Crevice-free type 304 stainless steel interior with coved corners and a built-in drain keeps spills contained and promotes easy cleaning. Fold-down door is equipped with a magnetic gasket for a tight seal, pneumatic dampers for a smooth, controlled opening, and counterbalanced hinges. Platforms are constructed of ⁵/₁₆" heavy-duty, brushed anodized aluminum, which will not chip or rust.

Specially designed for facilities seeking high capacity shakers but lacking the space to accommodate larger floor models, these units may be stacked up to three units high for three times the capacity of a single unit in nearly the same footprint. These versatile units are designed for high volume scale-up cell culture, process optimization research at varied temperatures and speeds, and high volume research.

Ordering information: All accessory items, platforms, and flask clips are sold separately. The stand for one stackable shaker has a maximum height of 77.7 cm (30¹⁹/₃₂"). The stand for two stackable shakers has a maximum height of 32.5 cm (12¹³/₁₆"). All platforms are equipped with clamps, except the universal platform. The Erlenmeyer flask starter kit includes two 25 ml clamps, two 50 ml clamps, two 125 ml clamps, four 250/300 ml clamps, four 500 ml clamps, two 1 L clamps, two 2 L clamps, and one pack of replacement screws. The replacement screw pack includes fifty phillips head screws for clamps and twelve flat head socket screws for platforms.
