Simultaneous conventional nebulization and hydride vapor generation for the lowest detection limits.

  • Provides the ability to nebulize a liquid sample and create volatile hydrides simultaneously
  • Improves detection limits on hydride elements: As, Se, Hg
  • Replaces the existing spray chamber and can be used in anyone of three modes: Liquid nebulization only, hydride generation only, or simultaneous solution nebulization and hydride generation
  • Does not require any power or additional gas flows

The Multimode Sample Introduction System (MSIS) provides a convenient route to maximize sensitivity for elements determined by conventional nebulization, and by simultaneous vapor generation of environmentally sensitive elements including As, Se, and Hg with low µg/L detection limits, in a single unit.

Its unique design provides better performance than conventional nebulization through thin film hydride technology, while offering a choice of three modes 1) Conventional nebulization 2) Vapor generation and 3) Simultaneous nebulization/vapor generation), which means that changeover is eliminated and routine and hydride elements can be determined using the same setup.
