The 2101 Controlled Rate Freezer can freeze at rates of 0.01 to 99 ⁰C per minute, and includes a laptop controller with six pre-set easy-to-run programs or unlimited user programs.

Controlled Rate Freezing System, single-probe, includes laptop computer with 2101 software, freezing chamber, mobile cart, LN₂ hose (4 foot) and limited choice of sample freezing rack and a single probe.

The single-probe version 76542-160 has 1 temperature probe jack, the Equine version 76542-162 is the same however, in addition it has software with two equine freezing profiles. The multi probe version 76542-164, has 6 temperature probe jacks, and is also supplied with a single probe.
