Linear polyethylenimine HCl is a fully hydrolyzed (deacylated) and highly water soluble.

PEI MAX 160000 is supplied as a hydrochloride salt for ease of handling. It can be converted into the linear free amine (PEI) form by neutralization with base.
Linear polyethylenimine is a highly-charged cationic polymer that readily binds highly anionic substrates. Industrially these polymeric amines are useful in many applications derived primarily from its polycationic character that allows it to tightly bind to negatively charged substrates.
