Potassium Nitrate, BiotechGrade - this compound has been tested to alleviate NaCl stress symptoms in plants. Mechanistic studies suggest that this may be achieved through reduction of electrolyte leakage, malondialdehyde and soluble sugar contents and improving the activities of antioxidant enzymes. The critical parameters involved are absence of inhibitors such as traces of heavy metals as well as biochemical function tests for enzymes, coenzymes and enzyme substrates.
