Glycine, FCC is an organic compound and is also the smallest of the 20 common amino acids in proteins. It is a sweet tasting, colorless, crystalline solid. Glycine is a common building block to many natural products and is a precursor to proteins It is also used as an additive in animal food, and as a food supplement and sweetener in food destined for human consumption. The FCC grade meets the requirements of the Food Chemical Codex indicates and is suitable for all food, beverage and nutritional supplement applications.
