Calcium Chloride, Dihydrate, BiotechGrade is a white deliquescent compound which is commonly used as a reagent in biochemistry. Biological processes, including signal transduction, muscle contraction, maintenance of cell membranes and cell wall stability rely on calcium ions. The critical parameters involved are absence of inhibitors such as traces of heavy metals as well as biochemical function tests for enzymes, coenzymes and enzyme substrates.
