Methanol

Methanol (CH3OH) is also known as Methyl Alcohol or wood alcohol. It is a clear, colorless, volatile and flammable liquid. Methanol is a common laboratory solvent and is especially useful for chromatography due to its low UV cutoff. Methanol is toxic if ingested and can result in blindness, coma and death. Suitable for HPLC and spectrophotometry.
