Graticules, Reticles and Grids
The formvar coated grids are stabilized with an evaporated carbon film.

  • Formvar coatings thickness of standard (10 nm), ultra-thin (5 to 6 nm), thick (15 to 20 nm), or extra thick (25 to 50 nm)
  • Carbon coatings thickness of 1 nm, 3 to 4 nm, and 20 to 30 nm
  • Optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM

This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. All film is laid on the shiny side of the grid.
