This microscale Hickman still head is used to carry out micro-sample fractional distillations

The top joint is a combination cap, thread and standard taper joint to accommodate and seal other microscale apparatus. The O.D. of the top joint has an external thread to facilitate an o-ring, and an open-top phenolic cap. The internal (or I.D.) at the top is a ground outer joint, at bottom is an inner [ST] joint. The inner joint can be secured in reaction vials via “O-Ring-CAP-SEAL” connection. Fabricated from borosilicate glass.
