YNB is a well defined composition of salts and vitamins for a vigorous growth of S. cerevisiae.

Soluble in water (1.7 g/l)

Reagents are tested and chosen for their ability to promote optimum growth of S. cerevisiae when combined in YNB formulations. Chosen reagents are combined in the proper proportions according to the formulation listed above and thoroughly blended for a uniform distribution.

Add 1.7 g/L YNB without ammonium sulfate, plus a nitrogen source and a carbon source, the approproate amino acids, and agar if necessary to make your own SD yeast media.

Application includes: Yeast Cell Culture, Gene Expression, Transformation, Gene Function, Gene Regulation.
